MY FIRST EXPERIENCE TRAVELING ALONE. (DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY).
My first experience traveling alone was great, wonderful and amazing. It was on a sunny and hot summer. I traveled to the USA in order to visit a friend of mine that I met in High School in 1999. The trip lasted 26 hours because I traveled by bus, but that was great because I knew a lot of important places of Texas. Traveling alone was something different, something new and also something interesting.
The main reason why I traveled alone was because I wanted to do something different. That nice summer I received a Miguel's phone call who is my best friend because he is loyal, friendly, lovely, and friendly. He lives in a beautiful, great and nice place named Kilgore, Texas; 2 hours after Dallas. I felt so excited and happy because he invited me to visit him. I felt so happy and nervous at the same time because I was starting a new and crazy adventure.
As I said, I traveled by bus because I got a student’s discount from the bus line. In this trip I had the chance to visit many different places, such as Laredo, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and finally Kilgore. All those places are big and famous in Texas. The trip was so long but it was interesting because I knew many places and also some Mexican and American people who traveled in the same bus.
When I arrived to Dallas bus station, my friend Miguel was waiting for me. He looked excited, glad, elegant and handsome. He drove from Kilgore to Dallas to pick me up. We were so happy and excited because we had not seen each other in two years. He helped me with my black and big luggage and put it in his red car. After that, we started the trip from Dallas to Kilgore in his car. That trip lasted 2 more hours in which I could feel the sun and the air in my face. That was great because we had enough time to have a long conversation about us, the trip, and many other things.
I can say that I really enjoyed my first experience traveling alone. My trip lasted many hours in which I could visit 6 different places in Texas. Also, the trip gave the chance to see one of my best friends. That trip let me feel strange and melancholic as I never felt before. It made me feel excited, happy, strange, independent and responsible of taking my own decisions.
